What does our county government do?
County government touches nearly every part of daily life—supporting public safety, health and human services, infrastructure, and economic growth across our region. Together with the County Executive, the Cuyahoga County Council sets policy, directs funding, and holds government accountable to ensure services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in a way that actually works for residents.

Who represents you?
The Cuyahoga County Council is composed of 11 elected representatives from across the county. District 5 includes Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, and Strongsville.

Protect Taxpayers

Prioritize core government responsibilities, evaluate the effectiveness of every program, and streamline duplicative operations to control spending and protect taxpayers from unnecessary tax increases.

Promote Public Safety

Support effective law enforcement partnerships, improve the county justice system, and strengthen accountability to protect residents and taxpayer dollars.

Preserve Essential Services

Ensure residents continue to access essential programs in health, social services, child protection, and senior support, even as federal and state funding declines.

Build Stronger, More Resilient Communities

Invest in sustainable public buildings, parks, sidewalks, and infrastructure projects that create good jobs, improve neighborhoods, and prepare our county for the future.

Bring Transparency and Accountability to County Council

Create a direct connection between District 5 residents and their representative through monthly in-district meetings, regular newsletters, meaningful public hearings, and campaign contribution limits that help earn and maintain the public’s trust.
